American actor Charlie Skelice has died at the age of 84 after a long battle with Alzheimer's disease. This was reported on May 4 by the Hollywood Reporter with reference to his daughter Anne Marie Skelais.

"Charlie Scalise, a character actor from Philadelphia, has died," the article says.

Skeleis was remembered by viewers for his role as Thomas "Horseface" Pakusa, a dockworker and trade unionist, in the second season of the cult crime series Wiretap. He also played Coach Molinaro in an episode of The Sopranos.

Being a native of Philadelphia, Skeleis began his acting career at an advanced age, having played many minor but striking roles in American films and TV series. He also starred in such projects as "Law and Order", "Shield" and "Alpha House". He was distinguished by his charismatic appearance and recognizable voice, thanks to which he often performed the images of workers, crime bosses and lawmen.

It is specified that the actor died on May 1 in a nursing home in Pennsylvania.
