- The President of the PMR stated the risk of provocations in Transnistria during the elections in Moldova

There is a risk of provocations in the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic (PMR) during the parliamentary elections in Moldova in the fall of 2025. This was announced by the President of the unrecognized republic Vadim Krasnoselsky in an interview with TASS on May 5.
"As for the provocations that took place, in my opinion, they should have been investigated very competently and conclusions should have been drawn, the perpetrators should have been found and, naturally, certain persons should have been punished for these provocations. I don't know if it's done or not done. We'll see what happens. But there is definitely a risk of new provocations in the elections," Krasnoselsky said.
The politician noted that Pridnestrovie is ready to consider opening polling stations on its territory for the elections to the Moldovan parliament.
Earlier, on April 17, the Moldovan parliament scheduled parliamentary elections in the country for September 28, 2025. The draft decision on the date of the parliamentary elections in September was submitted by the ruling Action and Solidarity Party (PDS). The opposition, in turn, insisted on voting in July. Its deputies demonstratively refrained from participating in the parliamentary run-off on the draft PDP.
