Actor and director Artur Kochkanian died at the age of 61.
Teacher, actor and director Artur Kochkanian died at the age of 61. This was announced on May 4 by the Nizhny Novgorod Stepanov Chamber Music Theater on the VKontakte social network.
"Artur Aleksanovich Kochkanian (1964-2025), a Nizhny Novgorod actor, director and teacher, left us today. He left, but he stayed — in his students and performances," the publication says.
It is noted that the screening of the musical "Truffaldino" will be dedicated to him on May 24. Kochkanian himself participated in the production of the planned play.
The actor was well known to Russians for his participation in the 2015 TV series Method. He also taught several disciplines at the Department of Musical Theater of the Nizhny Novgorod State Conservatory named after M.I. Glinka.
