The man who killed the girl in 1997 will appear in court after 28 years

A man who inflicted grievous bodily harm on his girlfriend 28 years ago will appear in court in the Krasnoyarsk Territory. This was announced on May 5 by the press service of the regional prosecutor's office in the Telegram channel.
"The crime remained unsolved for many years. As part of the work carried out under the coordination of the prosecutor's office to solve crimes of previous years, the materials of this criminal case were re—examined, and the man was detained," the department said.
The tragedy occurred in the city of Achinsk in 1997, when a drunk 25-year-old man pushed his girlfriend from the landing during an argument. As a result, the woman's body knocked out a window on the landing between the third and fourth floors and fell down. The victim died on the spot from her injuries.
The accused himself admitted his guilt.
"I didn't want to kill, I was just jealous of my ex," he said.
The criminal case against the man will be considered by the Achinsk City Court.
On April 30, two men suspected of murder 28 years ago in the village of Pervomaisky were detained in the Orenburg region. Two men aged 44 and 50 were detained. The criminal case of the murder was opened in 1997. Later they were reclassified to Part 2 of Article 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Murder committed with extreme cruelty and for selfish motives").
