Operators of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) of the Dnepr group of forces destroyed camouflaged artillery pieces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the Orekhiv direction of the special military operation zone in the Zaporizhia region. This was announced on May 5 by the press service of the Russian Ministry of Defense.
"We managed to hit a self—propelled artillery installation at a range of more than 25 km, a towed cannon at more than 30 km, as well as other equipment, including tanks," said the operator of the FPV drones with the call sign Maikop.
The reconnaissance units were able to detect the targets. After the transfer of intelligence to the control points, an accurate strike was carried out on the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Earlier, on May 4, the crew of the D-20 gun of the Dnepr group of forces destroyed a sabotage group of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which was hiding at a temporary deployment point on the right bank of the Dnieper River in the Kherson region. It is specified that the Ukrainian military were discovered during a planned reconnaissance of the area using unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). At the same time, the gunners hit all the marked targets with minimal ammunition consumption.
