In the city of Chernyakhovsk, Kaliningrad region, teenagers damaged an exhibition dedicated to the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War (WWII) and the year of Defender of the Fatherland. This was announced on May 4 by the press service of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the region in the Telegram channel.

"According to investigators, two minors, while in Victory Park in Chernyakhovsk, damaged an exhibit dedicated to the year of Defender of the Fatherland and the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War." — they told us in the department.

A criminal case was opened into the incident under Part 2 of Article 213 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Hooliganism"). Investigators are establishing all the details and circumstances of the incident.

Earlier, on May 2, vandals damaged a monument to the heroes of the Great Patriotic War in the Kherson region. Unknown persons broke the paving slabs, removed the tricolor, the Victory Banner and the flag of the United Russia party. It is specified that the police are currently searching for vandals. All the circumstances of the incident are being established. On the same day, unknown persons damaged a monument to the heroes of the Great Patriotic War in Bulgaria. The vandals targeted a monument to Bulgarian underground fighters and Soviet submariners, the crew of the Shch-211 boat in the Kamchia area.
