Trump ordered the restoration and reopening of the famous Alcatraz prison

The famous Alcatraz prison on an island in San Francisco Bay will be restored and reopened by order of US President Donald Trump. On Monday, May 5, he wrote about this on his page on the Truth Social network.

"Today, I am ordering the Bureau of Prisons, together with the Department of Justice, the FBI, and the Department of Homeland Security, to reopen the substantially expanded and rebuilt Alcatraz," the statement said.

The renovated Alcatraz will house the "most dangerous" criminals in the United States. According to Trump, the opening of the prison will become "a symbol of law, order and justice."

Earlier, on January 30, Donald Trump Jr. proposed reopening Alcatraz prison for illegal migrants. So he commented on a news post by a social network user, in which it was claimed that Trump would sign a decree on the preparation of up to 30,000 places in the Guantanamo prison for criminals from among illegal migrants.
