The tank crew, including the driver, Private Grigory Isaev, was tasked with making a passage through the mine-explosive barriers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) and ensuring a breakthrough in their defenses. The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation on Monday, May 5, reported on the exploits of Russian servicemen in the area of a special military operation.

Having imperceptibly approached the barriers, Gazetdinov conducted a reconnaissance of the area and, together with Isaev, developed a plan for further actions.

Isaev, driving the tank, gained the maximum possible speed and drove the tank through the mine barriers. The Ukrainian Armed Forces detected the movement of Russian troops and opened fire on the tank. The crew of the tank, despite the shelling and attack by enemy FPV drones, continued to make a passage through the mine-explosive barrier using a minesweeper.

The junior sergeant ordered to open fire on the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as soon as he discovered that the minefields were left behind. Isaev brought the tank to a convenient firing position and opened fire, thereby providing reliable cover for the Russian assault groups.

The tank was damaged during the clash, but Isaev managed to bring the combat vehicle to a safe area. After operational repairs, Gazetdinov, together with the driver, prepared the tank for further action.

Earlier, on May 4, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that the commander of an infantry fighting vehicle, Sergeant Artur Khismatullin, was tasked with delivering an assault group of the Russian Armed Forces to the line of contact. On his way to his destination, he noticed a group of infantry in a wooded area.
