Trump announced his intention to reduce duties on goods from China

On May 4, US President Donald Trump announced his intention to reduce trade duties on the People's Republic of China (PRC) at some point so that business could be conducted with it.
"At some point, I'm going to reduce them (Duties. — Ed.), because otherwise you would never have been able to negotiate with them (China. — Ed.) business," the head of state said in an interview with Fox News channel.
According to the President of the United States, China's economy is collapsing because of the tariffs he has imposed.
In addition, Trump responded negatively to a question about his willingness to reduce duties in order to bring Beijing to the negotiating table.
Earlier, on May 2, the Ministry of Commerce of the People's Republic of China reported that China was considering starting trade negotiations with the United States.
On April 27, the American leader said that the United States could conclude trade agreements with all countries, including China and the European Union (EU), but only on fair terms for Washington.
