In Finland, a hydrogen leak disrupted the operation of the second power unit of the Loviisa nuclear power plant. This was announced on May 4 by the Fortum energy operator.

They noted that the Finnish NPP's power unit is currently operating at reduced capacity, and this will continue until the end of the repair of the generator's heat exchanger, which will take about two days.

"The hydrogen consumption of the generator began to increase on May 3, which is a sign of a hydrogen leak," the company said in a statement, the text of which is reported by RIA Novosti.

In March, the press service of the Finnish energy company Teollisuuden Voima reported a leak. The NPP has three reactors in total, which produce about 30% of the energy consumed by residents. No one was injured in the incident.
