In Cologne, participants of the Immortal Regiment rally marched in the uniforms of Soviet soldiers on the eve of the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War (WWII). Footage of the May 4 event is published by Izvestia.

Svetlana Zlatkina and Valery Yakovlev, who took part in the action, also expressed gratitude for organizing such an event in Cologne. They noted that their relative graduated from the Dzerzhinsky Military Academy in Moscow and went through the entire war, ending it in Germany.

In addition, he was awarded 11 orders, including Suvorov, Kutuzov. The woman added that her grandfather will be in her "heart for life," so they honor his memory in the "Immortal Regiment."
