Sobyanin spoke about the training of "My sports district"


Further plans for the My Sports District project have been approved in Moscow. As part of this program, everyone can play sports in parks, courtyards, ice rinks, and even on the roofs of the "Meeting Place" district centers.
As the Mayor of the capital, Sergei Sobyanin, recalled, the program has been in effect since 2022. "In 2024 alone, over 100,000 people took part in it. More than 200,000 participants are expected in 2025," the mayor wrote on his Telegram channel.
According to him, 20 thousand free training sessions are planned this year. Classes will be held at 300 city venues with the participation of professional trainers.
The events of the My Sports District program are held all year round. In summer, yoga, running, zumba, team games and other sports are organized. There are fitness classes in the off-season, and ice skating and skiing are added to them in winter.
In March, Vladimir Yefimov, Deputy Mayor of the capital for Urban Planning and Construction, announced that 17 sports facilities had been built in Moscow last year using budgetary and extra-budgetary funds. The total area of the facilities was about 140 thousand square meters. m. These are sports and recreation complexes with swimming pools, a rowing base, an ice arena and facilities. Among the most notable of them are the Luzhniki Tennis Palace in Khamovniki and the multifunctional sports complex on the territory of the Mnevnikovskaya floodplain in the Northern Administrative District.
