The march of the "Immortal Regiment" was held for the first time at the residence of the Russian Ambassador in Rome

On May 1, the Immortal Regiment march took place at the residence of the Russian Ambassador in Rome for the first time on the eve of the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War (WWII). Footage of the May 4 event is published by Izvestia.

During the action, the portraits of the combatants were carried by the ambassadors and representatives of the embassies of Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, as well as the Union republics, compatriots with their family members from Rome, Milan, Verona, Trieste, Bologna, Naples, Palermo, Perugia, Genoa.

In addition, the event was attended by Italian citizens who share traditional values and oppose the belittling of the role of the USSR and Russia in defeating Nazism and, in general, against the distortion and falsification of history.

Also, as part of the campaign, those present listened to songs from the war years and a concert with the participation of Russian performers.

In 2025, the campaign will be held in new formats.

On the same day, it became known that the Immortal Regiment campaign was held in Busan, South Korea, for the first time since 2019. It is noted that before the start of the march, a concert was held, which was prepared by Russian compatriots. In addition, employees of the Maritime Register of Shipping in Korea and parishioners of the Orthodox Church took part in the action.
