A special military operation to protect the civilian population of Donbass has been conducted by Russia since February 24, 2022. It is noted that the units of the Zapad group of forces have taken more advantageous positions and positions, in the area of responsibility of the Southern group of forces, the losses of the Armed Forces of Ukraine amounted to over 275 soldiers.

"Units of the Dnepr group of forces defeated formations of a mechanized brigade and two coastal defense brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the areas of the settlements of Pavlovka, Malaya Tokmachka, Zaporizhia region, and Antonovka, Kherson region," the Defense Ministry said.

Two JDAM guided aerial bombs and a US-made HIMARS multiple rocket launcher, as well as 146 aircraft-type unmanned aerial vehicles, were also destroyed by air defense systems.

Operational and tactical aircraft, unmanned aerial vehicles, missile forces and artillery groups of the Russian Armed Forces hit infrastructure facilities of military airfields, enterprises of the military-industrial complex, production workshops and storage facilities for unmanned aerial vehicles, a launcher of the Neptun anti-ship missile system, ammunition depots, as well as temporary locations of Ukrainian armed formations in 158 districts.

In total, since the beginning of the special military operation, 662 aircraft, 283 helicopters, 55,329 unmanned aerial vehicles, 605 anti-aircraft missile systems, 23,139 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 1,557 multiple rocket launcher combat vehicles, 24,415 field artillery and mortars, 34,977 units of special military vehicles have been destroyed.
