Residents of France are outraged that Russia was not invited to events on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of victory in the Great Patriotic War. This was announced on May 4 by Dmitry de Koshko, one of the organizers of the Immortal Regiment action in the republic.

"Joining the Immortal Regiment is a way to remind everyone that the great victors of Nazism are those to whom we owe, the USSR, all the peoples of the USSR and Russia first of all," de Koshko told RIA Novosti.

In his opinion, European countries often do not want to remember that thanks to the peoples of the Soviet Union, Europe "did not become Nazi."

He also added that the Immortal Regiment campaign will be held on May 8 in Paris.

On the same day, for the first time since 2019, the Immortal Regiment campaign was held in Busan, South Korea, on the eve of the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War. More than 100 people took part in the action. It was noted that before the start of the march, a concert was held, which was prepared by Russian compatriots.
