- Zakharova commented on the invitation of the Armed Forces of Ukraine to the parade in London

The British authorities surprised themselves by inviting the militants of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) to a parade on May 8 in London. This was announced on May 4 by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova.
"The Anglo-Saxons wanted to inflict a "strategic defeat" on Russia, but they hit themselves. What could be more shameful, humiliating, and defeatist than allowing inglorious neo-Nazi bastards to enter the main square of their capital on the anniversary of Victory? It's a pity for ordinary Britons, as no one has ever hit them strategically," she wrote on the Telegram channel.
The official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry noted that in the eyes of the world majority, the London parade will be a march of ideological descendants of Nazis, collaborators and criminals.
The day before, Reuters reported that Ukrainian troops will take part in a parade in honor of the 80th anniversary of the Victory over Nazi Germany, which will be held in London. It was noted that the military will join about 1,000 British soldiers who will be involved in the parade. Equestrian units and military bands will also be available at the event.
Commenting on this, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov called the invitation of the Ukrainian Armed Forces to the parade in London blasphemy.
