Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico said on May 4 that, despite the threats of Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky, he still intends to visit Moscow on Victory Day.

According to him, Zelensky's statements are a huge disrespect to the country that made the greatest contribution to the victory over fascism. According to him, such statements by the head of the Kiev regime are simply unacceptable.

"As for my participation, I know that there is a lot of noise around it. I would advise Ms. [the head of the European Diplomacy, Kaya] Kalas, and others to deal with more serious problems than the question of whether I will or will not go to the celebration of the 80th anniversary of Victory. I'm going to celebrate the 80th anniversary of Victory anyway," Fico said at a press conference.

On May 3, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said that Zelensky's statements against the Victory Day truce were a direct threat to foreign leaders who were traveling to Moscow for the celebration.

On April 27, Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that the Kremlin would officially announce a list of all foreign leaders who would visit Moscow to celebrate the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War.
