Tel Aviv airport closed due to falling rocket fragments from Yemen

Ben Gurion Airport in Tel Aviv was closed for takeoffs and landings of aircraft due to falling debris after an attempt by Israeli troops to intercept a missile from Yemen. This was reported on May 4 by the ice publication.
"Ben Gurion Airport has been temporarily closed for takeoffs and landings. We are not talking about a rocket that fell on Ben Gurion Airport, but about fragments," the publication says.
Law enforcement agencies are currently examining the place where the fragments fell. They are working to isolate and check the area.
According to Kan, two people were injured as a result of falling fragments — a 32-year-old woman and a 50-year-old man.
Earlier on Sunday, an air alert was activated in the central part of Israel due to rocket fire from Yemen. The soldiers informed about an attempt to intercept a missile launched by the Yemeni Ansar Allah movement.
On the same day, it was reported that at least 17 people were killed as a result of an Israeli Air Force strike on the southern Gaza Strip. According to Al Jazeera, three children were also among the dead.
