Slovakia saw the risk of a world war when sending NATO troops to Ukraine

If NATO troops are sent to Ukraine, it could lead to a new world war. This was announced on May 4 by the Deputy Speaker of the Slovak Parliament, Tibor Gaspar.
"I consider these intentions to send NATO soldiers to Ukraine to be something that could lead to a new world war. I don't think, however, that there is a consensus on this issue in European countries," Gaspar told RIA Novosti.
In his opinion, France and the United Kingdom are now the main inspirers of this idea. However, the rest of the European Union (EU) countries understand the risks of sending troops to Ukraine, as this action would cause a huge conflict in Europe.
On April 24, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that the deployment of Western military contingents in Ukraine was unacceptable to Russia. He also noted that this initiative poses a critical threat to the security of the whole of Europe.
On the same day, the British newspaper The Times noted that in the "coalition of the willing," Britain and France had weakened their commitment to sending peacekeeping forces to Ukraine. Paris and London expressed concerns that Moscow might perceive this initiative as a unilateral measure and reject it.
