In Tunka district in Buryatia, a tourist fell off a cliff while climbing Hulugaisha Peak. This was announced on Sunday, May 4, by the press service of the regional headquarters of the Ministry of Emergency Situations.

"A senior tourist group reported to the operational duty shift of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia that a man fell off a cliff while climbing Hulugaisha Peak in the Tunka district," the agency said in a statement on its Telegram channel.

They clarified that the man was injured, but is conscious. Rescuers went to the scene.

Earlier, on April 19, a teenager died in Lipetsk while trying to climb a cliff. According to the investigation, during a walk, a teenager fell while trying to climb a steep rocky ledge, suffering a life-threatening injury.
