The victims of the collapse in Gelendzhik were Kyrgyz citizens.


The workers injured in the collapse of the ground at the construction site in Gelendzhik have Kyrgyz citizenship. This was announced on May 4 by the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the state.
"As a result of this accident, three workers, citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic, were left under the rubble. At the same time, [another] citizen of the Kyrgyz Republic was taken to the hospital with injuries," the statement said.
It is specified that the Russian emergency services are currently continuing search and rescue operations at the scene of the incident.
The collapse of the ground in Gelendzhik during construction work became known on May 3. As a result of the incident, four people were injured. It was noted that one victim was taken to the hospital with fractures and bruises. Three more are under the rubble. On the same day, the Investigative Committee opened a criminal case into violations of safety regulations due to a collapse of the ground during construction work.
