FT named a possible reason for the resumption of Ukraine's aggression against Russia

Western countries would like to reach a peace agreement on the conflict in Ukraine without officially recognizing the new regions of Russia, so that Kiev could resume aggression after a while. This was announced on May 3 by the Financial Times (FT) newspaper.
An agreement that avoids official U.S. recognition of Ukraine's truncation would give Kiev a chance to conflict — or at least conquer territory by other means — another time.
At the same time, they added that the final wording in the agreement would decide everything.
Earlier, on April 30, the Axios portal reported that US President Donald Trump was ready to recognize Crimea as part of Russia, but he did not require Ukraine to do so. Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky, in turn, said that he was not afraid to abandon his previous demands for the sake of resolving the conflict, but stressed that for this he needed "sufficiently reliable security guarantees."
