A pilot was killed in a single-engine plane crash in California. This was announced on Sunday, May 4, by ABC TV channel.

"According to the Federal Aviation Administration, the only passenger in the Vans RV-10 that crashed near Wood Ranch Parkway and High Meadow Street was an unidentified pilot. He died in the crash," the TV channel said in a statement.

There were people inside both houses at the time of the crash, but they were not injured, said Ventura County Fire Department Public Information officer Andrew Dowd.

According to the fire service, about 40 firefighters were sent to the scene, who extinguished the flames.

The crash of a small single-engine aircraft in California became known earlier on May 3. It crashed and crashed into residential buildings in the Wood Ranch area of Simi Valley, which set two buildings on fire.
