- The President of Cuba left for Russia to participate in the celebrations on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the Victory

On May 3, Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel announced his imminent arrival in Moscow to participate in the celebrations on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the Victory.
"In a few hours we will be in our beloved Russia to take part in the celebration of the 80th anniversary of the Victory over Fascism and the 65th anniversary of the restoration of relations between our two peoples," the head of state wrote on the social network X.
Diaz-Canel also called it a great honor.
On March 26, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov announced that preparations were underway in Moscow for the upcoming visit of the Cuban president. He noted that Diaz-Canel's visit almost coincides with the 65th anniversary of the establishment of bilateral diplomatic relations between the Russian Federation and Cuba.
