One person died due to a fire in Lyskovo, Nizhny Novgorod region.


An elderly man died as a result of a fire in the city of Lyskovo, Nizhny Novgorod region. This was announced on May 3 by the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the region in the Telegram channel.
"A smoldering mattress was found on a bed in one of the rooms, as well as the body of a man born in 1949, without signs of life on it," the statement said.
The fire was extinguished with the participation of eight specialists and three pieces of equipment. The fire area was 3 sq. m.
According to the preliminary version, the cause of the tragedy was careless smoking.
Earlier in the day, four people died due to a fire in Nyazepetrovsk, Chelyabinsk region. All the victims were adults. Subsequently, firefighters were able to localize and extinguish the fire on an area of 70 square meters. m.
On May 1, two people were injured in a fire in two wooden houses in southwest Moscow. The fire was later extinguished on an area of 470 sq. m.
