BMP commander Khismatullin was covering an assault group of the Russian Armed Forces

The commander of an infantry fighting vehicle (IFV), Sergeant Artur Khismatullin, was tasked with delivering an assault group of the Russian Armed Forces to the line of contact. On his way to his destination, he noticed a group of infantry of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in a wooded area. The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation on Sunday, May 4, reported on the exploits of Russian servicemen in the area of a special military operation.

The enemy group was armed with small arms and a grenade launcher. Khismatullin promptly reacted and eliminated the threat of fire from an automatic cannon. However, the attacks from the Ukrainian Armed Forces continued, and the commander of the infantry fighting vehicle decided to move on, ensuring the safety of personnel with armor. Upon arrival at the destination, Khismatullin covered the soldiers who disembarked from the transport. As a result, he managed to land, provide cover for the Russian military and return to the original area, retaining the equipment.

The Russian Defense Ministry also noted the competent and prompt actions of Junior Sergeant Radif Nuriakhmetov, who was tasked with reconnecting with one of the units of the brigade that came under enemy fire. Nuriakhmetov and his comrade-in-arms went to the place of damage to the communication equipment. They successfully reached the damage, but in the process of repairing the hardware communications of the Russian military, two Ukrainian drones attacked.

One of the drones was shot down, but the second detonated nearby, and Comrade Nuriakhmetov was also wounded by shrapnel. The junior sergeant successfully provided first aid to the wounded man, then ensured evacuation to a medical facility, and himself restored stable communication.

According to the Russian president, conditions have now appeared for further successful actions by our troops in other sectors of the front.

Earlier, on May 3, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that Junior Sergeant Evgeny Gusev was driving an infantry fighting vehicle (BPM) and delivering an assault group to the front line when, during the landing of personnel, he noticed an Armed Forces firing point camouflaged nearby.
