At the moment, 46 settlements and 128 horticultural non-profit associations (farming co-ops) remain without electricity in the Moscow region of Istra. This was announced on the evening of May 3 by the head of the district Tatyana Vitusheva in the Telegram channel.

"As of 21:00 on May 3, 46 more settlements and 128 farming enterprises that have submitted applications remain without electricity," she said.

Currently, 23 emergency teams are working around the clock. Work is also continuing to clear tree debris and remove felling debris.

"In order to reduce the time for the final elimination of the accident in the territory of the municipal district of Istra, three more emergency teams are additionally starting work," Vitusheva said.

Earlier in the day, the Ministry of Emergency Situations announced the readiness of 200 rescuers to eliminate the effects of bad weather. Rescuers are sawing and removing fallen trees around the clock, as well as providing fire safety in settlements where there is no light.

On May 2, Evgeny Tishkovets, a leading specialist at the Phobos weather Center, reported that the snow that fell in Moscow on Friday night broke the 116-year-old record for precipitation. According to the forecaster, precipitation is about 40-45% of the monthly norm.
