200 rescuers are ready to eliminate the consequences of bad weather in the Moscow region. This was announced on Saturday, May 3, by the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia.

"The department's forces and assets have been relocated to Klin, Dmitrov, Solnechnogorsk, Istra, Pushkino, Sergiev Posad, Taldom, Mytishchi and Ruza, where the situation is most difficult," the department said in a statement on its Telegram channel.

They clarified that rescuers are sawing and removing fallen trees around the clock, as well as ensuring fire safety in settlements where there is no light.

At least 130 employees of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations and 27 pieces of equipment are involved in the work. Another 200 people of the airmobile group are in full readiness.

On May 2, Evgeny Tishkovets, a leading specialist at the Phobos weather Center, reported that the snow that fell in Moscow on Friday night broke the 116-year-old record for precipitation. According to the forecaster, precipitation is about 40-45% of the monthly norm.
