A criminal case was opened in Gelendzhik after a collapse of the ground at a construction site

A criminal case was opened in Gelendzhik on the fact of violation of safety rules due to a collapse of the ground during construction work. This was reported on May 3 in the press service of the Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the Krasnodar Territory.

"The investigative Department for the city of Gelendzhik of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the Krasnodar Territory has opened a criminal case on violation of safety rules during construction work (Article 216 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation)," the Telegram channel says.

According to the agency, a landslide and rockfall occurred at one of the city's construction sites, as a result of which people were injured. Investigative measures are currently being carried out to determine the causes of the incident.

The collapse of the ground in Gelendzhik during construction work became known earlier that day. As a result of the incident, four people were injured. It was noted that one victim was taken to the hospital with fractures and bruises. Three more are under the rubble.
