A Dagestani woman who was preparing a terrorist attack in Khasavyurt was arrested for two months

The Sovetsky District Court of Makhachkala has arrested for two months a supporter of a banned terrorist organization who planned to detonate an improvised explosive device near the building of law enforcement agencies in Khasavyurt. This was reported on May 3 in the joint press service of the courts of general jurisdiction of Dagestan.

"After reviewing the material, the court decided to choose a preventive measure against the suspect in the form of detention for a period of two months, that is, until July 1, 2025," the Telegram channel said.

It is noted that in February of this year, a local resident corresponded in a messenger with a representative of a terrorist organization, from whom she received instructions on how to make an improvised explosive device (IED), after which she purchased all the components.

The department clarified that criminal liability against the defendant is provided for under Part 1 of Article 30 and paragraph "a" of Part 2 of Part 205 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.

The day before, a terrorist attack against law enforcement officers was prevented in Dagestan. It was noted that the woman was detained in the Khasavyurt district. Components for the manufacture of IEDs were also seized from her.
