A possible cause of Vucic's indisposition was a sharp increase in blood pressure.

A possible reason for the deterioration of Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic's health in the United States could be a sharp increase in pressure. This was announced on May 3 by a cardiologist at the Military Medical Academy (VMA) in Belgrade, where the Serbian leader, Dragan Dincic, was hospitalized during a briefing.
"During his stay in America, the president felt severe chest pain, which did not last long," RTS quoted him as saying.
According to him, Vucic's blood pressure was 165/98. At the same time, Dincic added that the president had no complaints and felt well during the trip and during the examination at the military medical Academy.
"After conducting the necessary examinations and analyses, the Medical council can conclude that the current state of health of the President of the Republic, Mr. Aleksandar Vucic, is stable and satisfactory. The council adjusted the therapy and recommended that further regular monitoring and treatment be continued," the doctor concluded.
Earlier that day, RTS reported that Vucic had fallen ill during a visit to the United States, so it was decided to return. Later, the media clarified that Vucic was hospitalized after arriving from the United States.
