The Victory Train has arrived at Patriot Park

A unique mobile museum train arrived at Patriot Park a few days before the celebration of the 80th anniversary of victory in the Great Patriotic War (WWII). The footage is published by Izvestia on May 3.

Many residents of Moscow and the Moscow region, as well as guests of the capital, came out to meet the train.

The Victory Train is not just an exhibition or a museum. Anyone who visits it can see with their own eyes what the Soviet people, our ancestors, who, at the cost of incredible efforts, at the cost of their lives, liberated our country from the fascist invaders," said Artem Gorny, director of the Department of Culture of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.

He clarified that such projects should be preserved and developed, as well as provide information to the younger generation about past events that should not happen again.

"It was very hard for me to look at it, the carriage with the wounded makes a great impression, it is impossible to look at it without tears," one of the train visitors shared.

It is noted that the train will be in the park from 3 to 7 May. After that, he will travel to Moscow, where he will be able to visit him at the Belorussky Railway Station from May 8 to May 14.

Earlier, on April 22, the "Victory Train" of the Russian Defense Ministry arrived in the city of Orel as part of the action "Unity in Memory. Strength in a feat!". The train consists of eight wagons with thematic expositions dedicated to the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, the continuity of generations and the feat of heroes defending the Fatherland. Among the exhibits on display are the issues of the newspaper Izvestia dated May 9, 1945.

On April 19, the propaganda train departed from Kievsky Railway Station in Moscow. By July 3, the train will cover more than 33,000 km and visit 75 settlements in 61 regions of Russia.
