A large-scale geoglyph consisting of the inscription "80 years of Victory" and an image of a five-pointed star was planted in Patriot Park in honor of Victory Day on May 3.

Over 500 people participated in the event, including cadets, representatives of federal and regional authorities, law enforcement officers, volunteers from the Moscow region, and members of the Movement of the First.

Seedlings of turf and pemphigus were used to create the geoglyph. The young trees are named trees, they were planted in honor of the heroes of the Great Patriotic War and participants in a special military operation.

"The geoglyph will only flourish and get bigger from time to time. The seedlings will become more lush and they will be visible even from the airplane window," said Andrey Titov, a correspondent for Izvestia.

On May 1, the Izvestia photo exhibition "War in the Lens", dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Victory, opened in parks, squares and historical sites of Moscow and St. Petersburg. The project demonstrates the unique works of photojournalists of the Izvestia newspaper, taken during the Great Patriotic War.
