In Germany, they are playing a dangerous game by recognizing the Alternative for Germany (AfD) party as extremist. This was announced on May 3 by former British Prime Minister Liz Truss.

"The left and the German bureaucracy are playing a dangerous game by trying to suppress parties like the AfD <...> Politics should be conducted through the ballot box, not through surveillance and law enforcement," Truss wrote on the social network X (ex. Twitter).

She added that this decision will only lead to the fact that society will be greatly disappointed due to the huge failures in the field of mass migration and the economy.

On May 2, the Federal Office for the Protection of the Constitution of Germany classified the AFD as a right-wing extremist organization threatening democracy in the country. According to the authorities, this step reduces the obstacles to monitoring the party with the help of special services and allows for better control of its activities.
