Slovakia does not plan to participate in the supply of weapons to Ukraine, as well as in sending a military contingent. This was announced on May 3 by Deputy Speaker of the Parliament Tibor Gaspar.

"Slovakia has a clear position, which is that we do not want to support further arms supplies to Ukraine. We reject the idea of sending military personnel to Ukraine, which is being discussed, for example, by the leaders of Britain and France," he told TASS.

At the same time, Gaspar clarified that Bratislava supports the supply of humanitarian aid and equipment that "could serve civilian purposes," but the country's participation in the so-called "coalition of the willing" may involve Slovak military personnel in the escalation of the conflict.

On April 30, Estonia's Prime Minister Kristen Michal announced that the country was ready to send a company of soldiers to Ukraine as part of a "coalition of the willing." The Prime Minister noted that the country needs to show that it can back up its intentions with actions.

At the same time, on April 24, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that the deployment of Western military contingents in Ukraine was unacceptable to Russia. He also noted that this initiative poses a critical threat to the security of the whole of Europe.
