Polish Prime Minister criticized the country's president on Constitution Day

On May 3, Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk expressed dissatisfaction with the actions of President Andrzej Duda and called for the election of a head of state who would be "faithful to the Constitution."
"Listening to President Duda's last speech on the occasion of May 3 today, let's remember the meaning of the words of the presidential oath.: "I solemnly swear that I will remain faithful to the provisions of the Constitution." And let's elect a president who will be faithful to this oath," Tusk wrote on the social network X (ex. Twitter).
On April 10, Myśl Polska reported that the European Union may interfere in Poland's elections, as it did with Romania and France. The publication warns that the experience of Romania and France should be taken into account, as recent polls show an increase in the popularity of non-systemic candidate Slavomir Menzen.
Presidential elections in Poland are scheduled for May 18. Deputy Speaker of the Senate (upper house of the Polish Parliament) Magdalena Bejat, MP Marek Jakubiak, leader of the New Hope party Slawomir Mentsen, Polish historian, independent candidate Karol Nawrocki, mayor of Warsaw, candidate from the Civic Coalition Rafal Trzaskowski and other candidates plan to participate in the elections.
