The water level in the Ishim River, located in the Tyumen region, increased by 38 cm during the day and reached 872 cm. This was announced on May 3 by the governor of the region, Alexander Moore.

"The level of the "dangerous phenomenon" mark has been exceeded in the city of Ishim by 22 cm. Over the past 24 hours, the river here has immediately added 38 cm," he wrote in his Telegram channel.

Moore also noted that the situation is under control. According to him, the levees and embankments in the city can withstand higher water levels. Last year, the facilities coped with the flood, at which the figure reached 1064 cm. Today, this level has reached 872 cm.

He added that at the moment, if you look upstream, you can see that the flood is on the decline. So, in the village of Ilyinka, Kazan region, the river is decreasing.

On April 30, Moore reported that a state of emergency (emergency) had been introduced in the Tyumen Region due to flooding in five settlements of the Kazan and Abatsky districts. He noted that residents of settlements where a regional emergency regime will be established will be able to apply for one-time financial assistance.
