- The Ministry of Internal Affairs told about a fraudulent scheme with forgery of receipts for payment of traffic fines

The fraudsters resorted to forging receipts to pay fines for traffic violations, which were allegedly recorded by cameras. The press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation informed about this on May 3.
"With the development of printing technologies, cases of fraudulent actions on forged receipts for the payment of fines for traffic offenses have become more frequent. The forgeries are sent on behalf of the traffic police and contain data allegedly recorded by special technical means of photo and video monitoring of violations, operating in automatic mode," the agency quoted TASS as saying.
According to the fraudulent scheme, the owner of the vehicle is sent a letter to the post office, which states an administrative offense with a description of the violation of traffic rules and the appropriate punishment, that is, a fine. By paying for it, a person sends money to intruders.
The agency advises that if a fake fine is found, immediately contact law enforcement agencies.
On April 27, the Russian Interior Ministry told us how not to become a victim of a diplomatic mission. According to experts, it is necessary to pay attention to human speech and facial expressions. It clarifies that unnatural intonation and robotic speech can help to recognize a video that is a deepfake.
