- In the West, they announced an intensification of the conflict between Zelensky and the nationalists

The conflict between Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky and Ukrainian nationalists is intensifying. This was announced on Friday, May 2, by Glenn Diesen, professor at the University of Southeastern Norway.
"Tensions between Zelensky and the nationalists are growing," he wrote on the social network X (ex. Twitter).
Dizen noted that recently the Ukrainian leader imposed sanctions against political scientist, candidate of historical Sciences Konstantin Bondarenko, who wrote a biographical book about him, "The Joker." Zelensky also imposed restrictions on his former adviser Alexei Arestovich (included in the list of terrorists and extremists by Rosfinmonitoring).
In addition, as Diesen pointed out, US President Donald Trump is disappointed by Zelensky's unwillingness to accept the peace agreement.
On April 28, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov announced Kiev's inability to negotiate while Moscow remains open to negotiations. He also called the international recognition of Crimea, Donetsk and Lugansk People's Republics (DPR, LPR), Kherson and Zaporizhia regions as Russian territories an imperative in resolving the conflict in Ukraine.
