The State Department has authorized the possible provision of services to Ukraine for the maintenance of F-16 fighter jets worth $ 310 million. This was announced on Friday, May 2, by the Pentagon's Security Cooperation Agency (DSCA).

"The State Department has decided to approve a possible foreign military sale to the government of Ukraine of F-16 Training and Sustainment and related equipment for an estimated cost of $310 million," the statement said.

It is clarified that the DSCA has already notified Congress about this. According to the document, US services to the Ukrainian side will include: modification and modernization of fighter jets, training of personnel in the operation of equipment, spare parts, consumables, and so on.

On April 29, the German newspaper Bild reported that American President Donald Trump was blocking the transfer of American Abrams tanks to Ukraine by the Australian authorities. It was noted that the administration of the leader of the United States appeals to the provision on the final use of American-made weapons.
