The Ministry of Defense announced the destruction of eight UAVs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine over the Russian Federation

On-duty air defense systems destroyed eight Ukrainian aircraft-type unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). This was announced on May 2 by the press service of the Russian Ministry of Defense in the Telegram channel.

"From 21:00 to 22:00 Moscow time, eight Ukrainian aircraft—type unmanned aerial vehicles were destroyed by air defense systems on duty," the ministry said.

It is specified that four drones were intercepted over the territory of the Bryansk region. Four more were destroyed over the territory of the Republic of Crimea.

The allocation of assistance to affected citizens should also be under the control of prosecutors, the president said.

Earlier in the day, it was reported that air defense systems intercepted two Ukrainian UAVs over the Bryansk region.

As a result of the attack of a Ukrainian drone on May 1 in the city of Shebekino, Belgorod region, a civilian was injured. An ambulance crew delivers a victim with barotrauma to the city hospital.
