Heroes of Russia will create an art object in honor of the 80th anniversary of the Victory, initiated by artist Alexei Sergienko, the organizers said.

As part of the campaign, which took place throughout the year throughout Russia, special attention was paid to such iconic places as Red Square, Kronstadt and Peter and Paul Fortress.

As part of the events dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Victory, the Heroes of Russia, the participants of the Great Patriotic War, veterans of the Second World War will unite to create a symbolic art object — the painting "Victory Star". The action will take place on May 2-8 at the Alexei Sergienko Gallery in St. Petersburg.

The central element of the project is a painting with the largest star in the world, which will be painted by 5,000 Russians. The symbol will be filled with the names of the Heroes of Russia. This will emphasize the unity of generations and national values, the organizers believe.
