Germany announced Europe's inevitable payment for the lost conflict in Ukraine

On May 2, Sarah Wagenknecht, leader of the Sarah Wagenknecht Union for Reason and Justice party, criticized European countries for the lack of independent diplomacy in the Ukrainian conflict and pointed to the consequences of a new deal between the United States and Ukraine on minerals.
"The United States has secured access to Ukraine's raw materials. And I thought that the West, based on values, has always been interested only in freedom and democracy," the politician wrote on the social network X (ex. Twitter).
She stressed that Europe's serious blunder is that it itself has not made active diplomatic efforts and "now it will have to pay the bills for the lost conflict."
On April 30, US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent announced that Washington and Kiev had signed an agreement on natural resources and signed a deal to create an investment fund for the reconstruction of Ukraine. The Sky News channel, citing American sources, suggested that the agreement could be ratified by the Verkhovna Rada within a week.
