Acron Togliatti forward Artyom Dzyuba scored the 240th goal of his professional career on Friday, May 2, setting a new record for goals among Russian football players.

He scored the winning and only goal, which became an anniversary, in the 74th minute in the match of the 27th round of the Russian Premier League (RPL) against Dynamo Makhachkala.

Throughout his career, Dzyuba played for such clubs as Spartak Moscow, Tom Tomsk, Rostov, Zenit St. Petersburg, Adana Demirspor in Turkey and Lokomotiv Moscow. He also played for the Russian national team, where he scored 30 goals. Dzyuba started playing at Akron in September 2024.

On March 9, it was reported that Dzyuba became the top scorer in the history of Russian football. It is specified that the athlete broke the record of the former Zenit football player Alexander Kerzhakov, who had 233 goals.
