The FSB and the Russian Interior Ministry prevented a terrorist attack against law enforcement officers in Khasavyurt.

Employees of the FSB and the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia have detained a woman in Dagestan who planned a terrorist attack outside the law enforcement building in Khasavyurt. This was announced on May 2 by the FSB Public Relations Center.

According to the agency, a Russian citizen born in 1996 was preparing to detonate an improvised explosive device (IED). During her detention, the components for making such a bomb were seized from her.

In the girl's phone, there was correspondence with a militant of an international terrorist organization, whose activities are prohibited in Russia. The messages discussed a plan for a terrorist attack and contained her oath to a terrorist group.

The operation was carried out in the Khasavyurt district of Dagestan. Law enforcement officers continue operational and investigative actions.

On April 30, the FSB detained a man in the Moscow Region who is suspected of preparing a terrorist attack against an employee of the Russian Defense Ministry. The defendant had been following the military in Korolev for several weeks in order to commit a crime.
