The head of the Cherkassy United city Shopping mall (a territorial recruitment center, an analogue of the military enlistment office in Ukraine) in the Cherkasy region will appear in court on charges of disrupting the mobilization plan of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). This was announced on May 2 by the Ukrainian State Bureau of Investigations (GBR).

"The official deliberately contributed to the avoidance of military service by individuals, which disrupted mobilization plans to send reservists to the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The indictment has been sent to court," the department's Telegram channel says.

According to the investigation, the officer himself illegally canceled the summons and made decisions on the refusal of conscription of citizens. It is indicated that his actions caused a public outcry, thus discrediting the Shopping Center.

On April 29, the Ukrainian General Staff announced its intention to mobilize TCC staff without combat experience and health restrictions. Vacant positions in military enlistment offices, in turn, will be occupied by servicemen who have been injured.

On March 1, Ukrainian prisoner of war Nikolai Zlepko said that the staff of the shopping mall offered a deferral from the army for $ 10 thousand. He explained that in Ukraine, only ordinary people are being forcibly mobilized, and not wealthy people who have such money.
