Prince Harry loses court case on state protection in the UK

The Supreme Court of Great Britain rejected Prince Harry's claim, recognizing as legitimate the decision of the authorities to reduce the level of his state protection after abandoning royal duties. This was reported on May 2 by The Guardian newspaper.
As the publication pointed out, instead of permanent protection, the family of the former Duke of Sussex will be provided with an individual approach: before each trip to the UK, Harry will need to send a 30-day notice, after which a threat assessment will be carried out.
The prince's lawyers insisted that he had been subjected to "unjustified treatment" by the British authorities, and the change in security conditions had jeopardized the lives of himself and his family "after moving abroad and renouncing official status."
The Daily Mail reported on February 16 that Prince Harry could face criminal prosecution in the United States if it is confirmed that he lied about using illegal substances in an application for an American visa. It clarifies that anyone who provides false information about this in the documents authorizing entry to the United States faces up to five years in prison, a fine or deportation.
