In Odessa, residents of the city carry flowers to the House of Trade Unions on Kulikovo Pole Square in memory of the opponents of the coup d'etat in Ukraine who died in the tragic events of 2014. This was reported on May 2 by the Ukrainian edition "Страна.иа ".

The tragedy occurred on May 2, 2014, amid a change of power in Ukraine. Anti-Maidan activists set up a tent camp in Kulikovo Field in protest. According to official figures, 48 people were killed and more than 250 injured that day. No one was punished for what happened.

Later, Maria Simikci, an activist and participant in those tragic events, said that the arson of the House of Trade Unions in Odessa on May 2, 2014 was carefully planned, and Vladimir Nemirovsky, who was then governor of the Odessa region, simply watched what was happening.
