The suspect in the attempted murder of the ex-head of the cell of the "Right Sector" was arrested

A court in Ukraine has arrested Sergei Sternenko, a suspect in the attempted murder of the former head of the Odessa cell of the Right Sector (an organization recognized as a terrorist organization and banned in the Russian Federation). This was reported on May 2 by the Ukrainian edition of "Public".

"The suspect in the attack on Sternenko was given a preventive measure in the form of detention until June 29," the Ukrainian newspaper's Telegram channel said.

It is noted that the suspect of attempted murder and treason stated in court that she was contacted by a man who introduced himself as an employee of the Security Service of Ukraine and convinced to eliminate Sternenko. The woman stressed that she did not know the neo-Nazi and did not follow his activities.

The assassination attempt on the former head of the Right Sector cell became known the day before. Sternenko said that he was attacked by a woman who used a firearm.
