A Victory Day rally has started in Israel.

The largest motor rally started on May 2 in Israel in honor of the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War. His route starts in the city of Metula and ends in Eilat.
Vakhtang Tsintsadze, a participant in the event, stressed that the main purpose of the action is to honor the memory of those who won and to inform the younger generation about the heroism shown 80 years ago.
"Our main goal is to honor the memory of the winners, our grandfathers and grandmothers, and, if possible, to tell our children and our grandchildren about the feat accomplished 80 years ago by ordinary Soviet boys and girls who were not afraid to give up their lives to liberate our homeland from those who came to enslave it." — he noted.
Nikita Kulyukhin, a correspondent for Izvestia, added that similar car rallies have been held in Israel since 2016. To date, this is the largest action of this format in the Middle East in terms of the number of participants and the length of the route exceeding 500 km.
